The short version
If you only read this site, we learn nothing that identifies you. If you write to us, we receive what you typed. Those are the only two cases, because the website has no booking engine, payment page or guest account.
Stored in your browser, by name
Two entries, both local to your own device:
02_santa_marta_age_ok— set once you answer the age question, so the question is not repeated on that device.02_santa_marta_consent— set when you answer the cookie bar, so your answer sticks.
Neither is sent anywhere, and neither contains a number that could be matched to you. Clear your browsing data and both disappear, and the site will start asking again. If your browser refuses storage altogether, everything still works and you are asked each time.
Server logs
The host records requests: address, timestamp, page, browser string. That is how a hosting company distinguishes a reader from a robot, and it is kept for thirty days before being overwritten.
The contact form
Name, email, telephone if you give one, dates if you have them, and your message. It arrives at reception as an email and is filed with the booking correspondence. We keep it two years, because that is roughly how long a question about what was agreed can take to surface, and then it goes.
Analytics and advertising
No tag is on the site as it stands. If one is added, it will be Google Analytics 4 and a Google Ads tag, and it will load only for visitors who accepted the bar. Consent Mode v2 sets all four signals to denied in the head of every page before anything else runs, so refusal is the starting state and there is nothing to undo afterwards.
Lawful basis
Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 governs this, and under it we rely on your authorisation for analytics and advertising, on your request for the contact form, and on our own legitimate interest in a site that stays up for the server logs.
Who else sees any of it
The hosting company, because the files are on their machines. The email provider, because that is where the form lands. Google, for the tags above, and only with your consent. No one else receives it. Nothing is sold, and no guest list is given to anyone for marketing.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected or updated, ask for it to be deleted where the law allows, and withdraw an authorisation you gave. Write to reception at the address above or to [email protected]. We answer within fifteen working days. If the answer does not satisfy you, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio hears complaints.
Children
This is not a site for children and the gaming room is for over-18s only. We do not knowingly keep anything sent to us by a child. If you believe a child has used the form, tell reception and it will be deleted.
When this page changes
The date at the top changes with it. Anything material is also flagged on the front page for a month.
