What the house does, and when
A short list, as you would expect from an old house with eleven rooms.
Reception
6:00 to midnight
Staffed from before breakfast until the street door is locked. A night porter sits in the hall after that and is awake.
The street door
Locked at midnight
Ring and the porter opens it. It has no code or key card, which guests either love or find medieval.
Laundry
Daily except Sunday
Left at reception before nine, back the same evening, folded badly but clean.
Airport
25 minutes
Simón Bolívar is south along the coast road. Reception books a car; it is a fixed fare and they will tell you what it is.
Tayrona
An hour east
Reception books the car and tells you which gate is open that week, which changes more than it should.
Safes
In every room
Big enough for a laptop. Reception has a larger one behind the desk for anything that is not.
Step-free
Two ground-floor rooms
Level from the street door through both patios. The upper floor and the roof terrace have stairs only.
Water
Filtered, free
There is a filter by the kitchen door and jugs in every room. The tap water is fine but nobody believes that, so there is a filter.
